This shoot is very touching. It definitely appeals to the emotions a bit. I love the diversity shown throughout the different ages, and sizes of the peoples' hands.
This project is very beautiful! The photos are low key, but still hold immense detail. I like the use of hands rather than faces to show relationships. Each hand is just as unique as a face.
This is so interesting to me. I love how you can visibly notice that each set of hands in these pictures is someone different. Maybe you could have tried to different poses? Although, I do like how they are all similar.
I like these images because of the colors and what they represent. People use their hands for almost everything every day, so I think a person's hands are a glimpse into their life.
I really love this project. I think you said it best in your artist statement that no two hands are the same, much like a snowflake. I really love the black and white images because they really capture the depth of wrinkles, the crispness of youth, and the polished nails and jewelry. I think the black background helps the hands stand out, but I would love to know how hand positions were selected.
