Out of my three big projects, this one was the hardest. Not because of anything technical, but because I hate talking to people I do not know. I am terrified even to do so. Going to Eden Park, I found it easier to ask the Geese than the people. Finally, I was able to ask two people to take photos, the two main men you see in the series. Unfortunately, by the time I asked the third person, I got my first no and basically chickened out. As I was editing, I hated that too many photos of one person. Defeated, I went to my dance class only to realize that I did not actually know the people there so…
I love the images you captured down at Eden park. Such a beautiful area and really some beautiful people. The way you photographed the strangers was brave. I think you concept was very well executed and you did a great job capturing people we don't know.
