I want to first thank you for your hard work even without a camera. I was also like that my first week in my Photo I class so I understand your struggle. You have a good grasp of infinite depth of field. It shows how you want to get as much as possible in a photo. However, that does not always work. Your photo with the person sitting on the chair by the light is a good photo but it is a bit uninteresting to look at due to the majority of the photo being just a blank wall. If your environment is plain, go for a portrait or a smaller depth of field. Good job overall!
